Dive Team

The Door County Sheriff’s Office contributes to a multi-jurisdictional dive team that combines members from the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, Sturgeon Bay Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Door County Emergency Services as well as the Door County Sheriff’s Office

The team is currently comprised of 14 members who all have other, regular duty assignments.  The team assembles monthly throughout the year for a full day of training and is available on an on-call basis.  The dive team is also part of the Wisconsin Aligned Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) - which is subject to deployment throughout the State.

The dive team exists to provide a professional level of emergency water rescue and recovery service to the people and property of Sturgeon Bay, Door County and the State of Wisconsin.
